Lebanon, PA- Penn State Berks Men's and Women's Cross Country teams participated in the Dutchmen Invitational on Saturday, September 6. The invitational featured teams from all three levels of NCAA competition, saw the Penn State Berks Women's team finishing 18th out of 18 teams, while the Men's team secured 7th place among 15 teams.
In the women's race,
Brianna Strittmatter led the team, taking 136th place with a time of 24:59.2. She was followed by
Heather Hoffman, who finished in 154th place clocking in at 26:57.0.
Abigail Pfander and
Elianny Tremols finished in 180th and 184th places with times of 34:53.4 and 37:24.2, respectively.
Kiara Altine rounded out the team's performance, completing the race in 44:36.1 for 190th place.
The men's team had a stronger showing, led by sophomore
Trent Jordan, who placed 32nd with a time of 27:56.2. Cristian Corona also delivered a solid performance, finishing 41st in 28:20.3. Freshman
Samuel Branford and sophomore
Nathaniel Leano finished in 56th and 75th places, recording times of 29:07.8 and 29:42.9, respectively.
Simon Rickert completed the scoring for the team with a 117th place finish in 31:29.3.
WHO'S NEXT
The Men's and Women's Cross Country teams will return to action when they take part in the United East Preview Meet hosted by Penn State Brandywine on Friday, September 12.
