Center Valley, PA - Penn State Berks Men's and Women's Cross Country teams had one of their best performances of the season at the DeSales University Invitational, with multiple runners posting personal-best times on Saturday, October 11.
In the women's 6K race,
Brianna Strittmatter paced the Lions, recording a time of 27:45.3 finishing 40
th overall.
Heather Hoffman was the next Berks runner to cross the finish line, posting a time of 30:16.1.
Elianny Tremols finished 76
th, posting a time of 36:57.9.
Natalia Campo and Abby Pfander were the Lions final two finishers, completing the course in 40:50.2 and 43:36.4 respectively.
Trent Jordan led the Lions in the men's 8K, posting a career-best time of 26:53.8, the 3
rd fastest time in program history. Cristian Corona also had a strong show, takin 28
th overall, recording a time of 27:39.6. Simon Ricket completed the course in a time of 29:08.9, good enough for 51
st overall.
Mark Shiroshita posted a time of 32:59.5 and
Nathaniel Leano record a time of 33:20. 2. Alex Gonzalez was Berks final runner, taking 104
th with a time of 33:23.2.
The Men's team took 3
rd amongst Division III teams taking part in the meet, while women's team finished 8
th overall.

The Nittany Lions will take part in the Aubrey Shenk Invitational hosted by Gettysburg College on Saturday, October 18.
