Nittany Lions Dominate with Five Top-11 Finishes

ABINGTON, Pa. — The Penn State Berks men's cross country team opened its season in impressive fashion, claiming first place at the PSU Berks Invitational on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

The Nittany Lions placed five runners inside the top 11 to secure the team title with 36 points and an average time of 29:48.50. Thaddeus Stevens finished second with 53 points, followed by Kean University with 76.

Trent Jordan paced Berks with a clocking of 28:21.89 to secure first overall. Cristian Corona-Olivais crossed next for the Lions in sixth, while Nathaniel Leano (eighth), Samuel Branford (ninth) and Simon Rickert (11th) rounded out the scoring group.

Additional contributors included Mark Shiroshita and Adonys Paulino, who provided depth for Berks in their season debut.


WHO'S NEXT
The Nittany Lions return to action next week when they travel to compete at Eastern University on Sept. 23.
