Women's Soccer Earns Six All-Conference Honors

Latham, N.Y. – The United East announced its 2025 Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams and Major Award Winners on Thursday, November 13, with Penn State Berks well represented across the selections. Devon Deery, Ashley Jocham, and Faith Wavershak were named to the All-Conference Second Team, while Maya Dolan, Sophia Gonzalez, and Paige Thomas earned spots on the All-Conference Third Team.

Jocham capped off an excellent final season in the Blue & White, finishing with seven goals and five assists. She delivered one of the top individual performances in program history in the Lions' matchup with Keystone College, recording 12 points on four goals and four assists, the second-highest single-game point total in school history.

Deery continued to establish herself as one of the conference's premier defenders, routinely shutting down opposing attacks. She also showcased her skill as an elite free-kick specialist, consistently placing dangerous balls into the box. Her efforts resulted in eight assists and two goals on the season.

Wavershak was a relentless presence in the midfield, hunting down loose balls and generating offensive opportunities. She delivered in the biggest moments for the Nittany Lions, scoring five goals, including three game-winners. Her most crucial tally came in the United East Championship Quarterfinal victory over Lancaster Bible, where her strike proved to be the decisive goal.

Dolan put together another standout season as a key member of the Nittany Lions' defensive backline. She also made timely contributions on the offensive end, scoring goals against Cedar Crest College and Lancaster Bible College.

Gonzalez started all 19 games in goal for Berks, making 121 saves and posting a 1.76 goals-against average. She recorded eight wins, including four shutouts, and became the program's all-time leader in career shutouts.

Thomas enjoyed a strong campaign in the midfield, tallying four goals and two assists. She displayed a flair for the dramatic, scoring highlight-reel goals in matchups against Montclair State and Albright College.
