MXC places 19th at Lebanon Valley Invitational

ANNVILLE, PA - The Penn State Berks men's cross country team opened up the 2022 season by placing 19th out of 23 teams at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational on Saturday afternoon. (Individual Results | Team Results)

The Nittany Lions finished with a team score of 452 points, which was just three points behind Eastern University (449) in 18th place.

Patrick O'Donnell was the top Berks runner, a feat that he accomplished in every race last season. The junior crossed the finish line at 28:39.3 to place 51st out of 216 runners on the 8k course. Freshman Avi Hochhauser made a strong collegiate debut, placing 59th with a time of 29.21.7. Kerry Benson (32:08.0) placed 98th overall, while John Kiernan (33:57.0) followed at 114th. Evan Grim rounded out the Nittany Lions factoring into the scoring, placing 130th after clocking in at 37:57.2.

The Nittany Lions will compete at the Charger Invitational hosted by Lancaster Bible College on Friday, September 16 at 4 p.m.
