MXC finishes sixth at United East Championship

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA - The Penn State Berks men's cross country team placed sixth out of eight teams at the United East Championship on Saturday afternoon at Lorimer Park. (Results)

The Nittany Lions collected a team score of 117 points, finishing just behind Penn State Harrisburg (110 points) for fifth place. SUNY Morrisville was the team champs after compiling 47 points, followed by St. Mary's College (80) and Penn College (91).

Patrick O'Donnell was an United East First Team honoree for the second year in a row after finishing fourth overall with a time of 28:43.38 on the 8K course. Avi Hochhauser earned Second Team honors with a time of 30:07.71 to place 11th in the field of 66 runners. Kerry Benson finished 24th with his time of 31:34.7, while John Kiernan crossed the finish line at 33:51.99 to place 38th. Tyler Bannon rounded out the Berks runners factoring into the scoring, placing 43rd with a time of 35:17.05.

The Nittany Lions will compete in the NCAA Mideast Championship on Saturday, November 12.
