Men's tennis falls in championship to Abington

Box Score CLARKS SUMMIT, PA (April 23, 2015) - The Penn State Berks men's tennis team was knocked off in the NAC West Division Men's Tennis Championship, 5-0, by Penn State Abington on Thursday afternoon at the Birchwood Tennis Courts. (Boxscore)

The Nittany Lions had the their six-game win streak snapped and finish the season with an overall record of 6-10.

The No. 2 duo of Volan Nnanpalle and Will Byler battled hard against Justin McNab and Monte Dunson, but Berks suffered an 8-6 setback. Drew Weinhold and Ryan Fritz (No. 1) and Dylan Deleon and Jerrad Seifrit (No. 3) lost their doubles bouts by an 8-1 margin.

The match was halted after Abington snagged wins at No. 3 and No. 6 singles, which clinched the match.

Berks will compete in the NAC West Individual Tournament on Thursday evening and Friday morning.
