Men's tennis rolls to third consecutive sweep

Box Score READING, PA (April 14, 2015) - The Penn State Berks men's tennis team picked up its third consecutive sweep after defeating Baptist Bible College, 9-0, in a non-conference contest on Tuesday afternoon on the Gring's Mill Tennis Courts. (Boxscore)

The No. 1 doubles pair of Drew Weinhold and Ryan Fritz trailed 3-2 early in their match, but the duo was able to battle back for an 8-4 win. Will Byler and Volan Nnanpalle grabbed an 8-1 win at second doubles, while Dylan Deleon and John Zimmerman won 8-0 at the third spot.

Weinhold (No. 1) and Fritz (No. 4) were 6-0, 6-1 winners in their respective singles matches. Byler and Deleon each pulled off a 6-0, 6-3 victory. Nnanpalle took the third singles flight by a 6-1, 6-1 margin, while Zimmerman finished off his perfect day with a 6-0, 6-0 win at the sixth spot.

The Nittany Lions will wrap up regular season play with conference matches on the road this weekend. They will play Penn College on Saturday at 10 a.m. and follow that up with a match against Bryn Athyn College at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
