Men's tennis cruises to win over Cabrini

Box Score RADNOR, PA (April 3, 2013) - The Penn State Berks men's tennis picked up an 8-1 victory on the road in a non-conference contest with Cabrini College on Wednesday afternoon. (Boxscore)

The Nittany Lions got off to a strong start by picking up wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. Drew Weinhold and George Chacko teamed up for an 8-3 victory out of the top spot, while Creston Smoker and Jeremy Emami were 8-3 winners in the third slot.

Berks won all six of the singles matches, led by Weinhold's 6-2, 6-0 win in the No. 1 singles spot. Chacko won (6-3, 8-6) at second singles and Steven Roughton was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at third. Angel Negron (6-2, 6-4), Smoker (6-1, 4-6, 10-3), and Jerrad Seifrit (6-3, 6-1) rounded out the winners.

The Nittany Lions will host Keuka College in a NEAC match on Saturday, April 6 at Gring's Mill Tennis Courts. The match is set to start at 10 a.m.
