Men's tennis suffers first conference loss

Box Score READING, PA (April 13, 2013) - The Penn State Berks men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Penn State Harrisburg in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) West Division contest on Saturday afternoon at Gring's Mill Tennis Courts. (Boxscore)

The Nittany Lions (5-4, 2-1 NAC West) had their four match winning streak halted with the loss. Harrisburg improved its overall record to 10-3 and 3-1 in the conference.

Drew Weinhold had his hand in both of the Nittany Lions wins. He started the day with an 8-3 win in doubles action, playing alongside of George Chacko. Weinhold then earned a 6-0, 6-3 win in the top singles spot.

Creston Smoker and Steve Roughton battled hard at No. 2 doubles, but were edged out by a score of 8-6.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Cazenovia College on April 14 for a NEAC contest.
