Men's tennis falls to Alvernia in season opener

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 setback to Alvernia University in the Nittany Lions season opener.

Anthony Chan and Cole Epting dropped an 8-2 decision at No. 1 doubles, while Owen VanDyke and Michael Hill fell 8-1 in the third spot.

Freshman Shane Gleason put up a fight at No. 2 singles, but was defeated 6-0, 6-4 by Lucas Berger.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Albright College for a non-conference match on Tuesday, March 22 at 3:30 p.m.
