Men's tennis edges Albright, 5-4

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks men's tennis team earned a thrilling 5-4 victory on the road over Albright College in a non-conference contest on Tuesday afternoon.

Berks jumped out to a 2-1 lead at the end of doubles play. The No. 1 duo of David Nigri and Shane Gleason had an 8-5 triumph, while Jonathan Morello and Jack Filip were 8-6 winners at the third spot. Anthony Chan and Cole Epting suffered an 8-6 setback playing at second doubles.

Nigri (No. 3) and Epting (No. 4) were each leading in their singles bouts before winning by default. Chan (No. 2) picked up a 6-0, 7-5 victory to give the Nittany Lions the winning margin.

Berks returns to action with a non-conference contest at Muhlenberg College on Friday, March 25 at 3:30 p.m.
