Men's soccer downed by Morrisville State

READING, PA (September 27, 2015) - The Penn State Berks men's soccer team jumped out to an early lead, but a second half surge helped lead Morrisville State College to a 5-1 victory in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Sunday afternoon.

Kevin Mondi played a perfect pass between defenders, T.J. Yurkovic took a few touches and beat the keeper with a low line drive to put Berks ahead 1-0 in the 16th minute. The contest would remain that way until the 48th minute when the Mustangs evened the game at 1-all. Morrisville State scored at 57:03 and 58:06 to build a comfy 3-1 cushion.

Rotman Saltos made nine saves in net, while his counterpart Rob Larkin finished with three stops.

The Mustangs (5-2-1, 5-0 NEAC) outshout Berks by a 23-6 margin (14-4 in shots on goal) and held a 7-2 advantage on corner kicks.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Penn State Abington for a NEAC contest on Wednesday, September 30 at 4 p.m.
