Guzman started in and played 18 contests in his first year with the program. The freshman midfielder had scored 12 goals and recorded five assists for 29 points. He was second in the conference in goals and points, while his assist total were the third most. Guzman recorded three game winning goals, including the winner in the double overtime win over Penn State Abington. He scored a season-high three goals against Gallaudet University and had two multi-scoring games. Guzman tied the single-season school record in game winning goals, while ranking second in points and third in goals scored. Guzman was named the NEAC Rookie of the Year and earned All-NEAC Third Team honors.
