Nittany Lions remain perfect in NEAC

Box Score MIDDLETOWN, PA (April 14, 2012) – The Penn State Berks women's tennis team recorded its fourth straight victory after downing Penn State Harrisburg, 8-1, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) showdown on Saturday afternoon at Hoverter Tennis Complex. (Boxscore)

The win improves the Nittany Lions to 7-4 overall and 4-0 in the NEAC, while Harrisburg falls to 6-8 this season and 1-2 in the conference.

Berks took care of business with a 3-0 effort out of the doubles matches, all by a score of 8-4.

Crystal Hitz and Arion Harris teamed up for their third win in four matches while playing together at first doubles. Elizabeth Kehm and Amanda Fuller picked up a win at second doubles, while Kristina Hatter and Samantha Warga won their bout in the third spot.

Kehm cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles, while Harris (No. 3) was a 6-2, 6-0 winner. Aimee Hoffman picked up a thrilling 7-5 win in the first set and clinched the win with a 6-1 win in the second set.

The Nittany Lions will finish out the regular-season with a pair of home NEAC contest next weekend. They will face Wells College on Friday, April 20 (4 p.m.) and Keuka College on Saturday, April 21 (1 p.m.)
