Reading, PA- Penn State Berks earned their second conference victory of the season, defeating Notre Dame (MD) by a score of 5-2 on Wednesday, April 8.
The match opened with doubles play and Berks got off to a strong start, winning the #1 doubles match. The duo of
Mia Aharonoff and
Eliana Koehler earned a hard-fought 7-5 win.
Lannie Beck and
Madelyn Caris secured the team point, winning the #2 doubles match 6-0. Finally,
Zoe Macknicki and
Marissa Bailey closed out doubles play with a 6-0 win in the #3 doubles match.
Aharonoff started off singles play by winning the #1 singles match. Koehler kept the momentum going, earning a 6-1, 6-0 victory in the #2 singles match. Beck fought off a stiff challenge in the #3 singles match, recording a 6-0, 7-5 victory. Macknicki picked up the team's final point, earning a 6-0, 6-0 victory in the #4 singles match.
