READING, Pa. – Penn State Berks fell in the United East Play-In Game to No. 7 seed Penn State Brandywine by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday, April 22.
The Nittany Lions got off to a slow start, dropping all three doubles matches, losing the first team point of the match. The duo of
Eliana Koehler and
Hester Xie did push the No. 2 doubles match to a tiebreaker, but they eventually fell 7-5.
Devon Deery got the Nittany Lions on the scoreboard in singles play, earning a 6-3, 6-0 victory in the No. 4 singles match.
Zoe Macknicki followed that up by winning the No. 6 singles match 6-1, 6-1. Berks could not capture any other singles matches, eventually falling 4-2.
