Women's tennis cruise to win in NEAC opener

Box Score READING, PA (March 31, 2012) - The Penn State Berks women's tennis team shutout the College of Saint Elizabeth, 9-0, in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) opener on Saturday afternoon at Hillcrest Racquet Club. (Boxscore)

Crystal Hitz and Arion Harris, playing together for the first time this season, picked up an 8-2 victory in the top doubles spot. Elizabeth Kehm and Amanda Fuller won by a score of 8-1 at second doubles, while Aimee Hoffman and Samantha Warga were 8-2 winners at third doubles.

Hitz (No. 1), Harris (No. 3), Kehm (No. 4) and Kristina Hatter (No. 6) all won their singles matches by a score of 6-0, 6-0. Hoffman earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles, while Fuller won 6-2, 6-2 in the fifth spot.

The Nittany Lions will host Penn State Abington on Sunday, April 1 at 10 a.m. at Gring's Mill.
