Baseball blanked on the road by Wesley College

READING, PA (March 15, 2012) - The Penn State Berks baseball team dropped an 11-0 decision on the road to Wesley College in a non-conference contest on Thursday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions were held hitless through the first five innings and finished the contest with just three hits. Ryan Tantala went 2-for-3 and reached base safely in all three of his at-bats. Kevin Heilman had a pinch hit single in the eighth for the other Berks hit.

Tantala broke up the no-hitter with a double in the top of the sixth. He was also responsible for ending the perfect game after reaching on an error by the second baseman in the third inning.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Lebanon Valley College for a non-conference contest on Sunday, March 18 at 1 p.m.
