READING, PA (February 6, 2011) - SHAKIYLA STONE put up 11 points in the final 1:16 of regulation to force overtime, but the Penn State Berks women's basketball team fell to Morrisville State, 83-78, in Sunday's North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) at Beaver Community Center.
Stone, who finished with a team-high 18 points, knocked down three 3's in the final minute. EMILY PUFNOCK
The Mustangs (4-16, 4-13 NEAC) scored the first seven points of overtime. Nijee Scott recorded eight of 20 points in the extra period. KELLIE WILSON hit a 3-pointer with 14 seconds remaining to cut the deficit to four, but it was too little too late for the Nittany Lions.
Steph Binder rounded out the Nittany Lions in double-digits with her 15 points. TAYLOR KREIDER owned the glass, matching a career-best 16 rebounds. JAMIE NORRIS grabbed 10 boards, but the Mustangs won the rebound battle by a 55-48 margin.
The Lions will travel to Gallaudet on Wednesday for NEAC showdown. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
