READING, PA (November 23, 2010) - Three players finished in double-figures to power the Penn State Berks women's basketball team to a 78-64 victory over Cedar Crest College on Tuesday evening at Beaver Community Center.
Shakiyla Stone led the Nittany Lions (1-1) with 19 points after shooting 8-for-13 from the floor and draining three 3-pointers. Jasmine Harris-Kane added 13 points, while Jamie Norris chipped in 11 and blocked three shots.
The Falcons (2-2) were lead by Lizzie Sunderhaus'  game-high 25 points and 19 rebounds.
Emily Pufnock dropped nine points, while Steph Binder contributed eight. Taylor Kreider led Berks in the rebounding department with eight. Harris-Kane grabbed seven boards and handed out five assists.
In a loss last week to Immaculata, the Lions struggled beyond the arc with 2-for-17. The Lions improved with a 6-for-18 effort against the Falcons.
Penn State dominated the paint with 52 points and also held a 30-16 advantage in points off of turnovers.
The Lions will host Albright on Saturday, November 27 at 1 p.m. in Beaver Community Center.
