HARRISBURG, PA – Peyton Moyer captured the United East Championship Tournament individual title, as the Nittany Lions placed fifth as a team at the tournament held at Dauphin Highlands Golf Club.
Moyer entered day two of the tournament tied for sixth overall after carding a 74 (+2) in the opening round. Battling rainy conditions, he delivered one of his best performances of the season. After opening the day with a bogey, Moyer responded by playing the next eight holes at even par or better, including a birdie on the fourth hole. He carried that momentum into the back nine, recording just one bogey on hole 10, and finished the round with a 73 (+1). His two-day total of 147 (+3) was enough to secure the individual conference title.
Moyer's final round was the lowest score of the day by two strokes, making him just the third Nittany Lion in program history to win the individual conference championship.
Rob Pasquarella was the next Nittany Lion finisher, tying for 20th overall with a two-day total of 161 (+17). He led the team on day one with a 73 (+1). Brady Snyder finished tied for 23rd with a total score of 167 (+23), followed closely by Brock Dejesus, who tied for 27th with a 169 (+25). Thomas Clark also competed in the championship, finishing with a total of 174 (+30).
