State College, Pa- Peyton Moyer won the Penn State DIII Challenge Individual Title at The Pennsylvania Classic Invitational held on the Blue Golf Course at Penn State University. The two-day tournament, hosted by Penn State Altoona, saw the Nittany Lions finish 17th out of 22 teams.
Moyer got off to a strong start on the opening day of the tournament, posting a team best 75 (+3) on the 6,605 yard, par 72 course. He followed that up by carding a 73 (+1) on day two, making him the lowest scoring player out of the four Penn State branch campuses taking part in the tournament, resulting in him being named as the Penn State DIII Challenge Individual Champ. Moyer took 4
th overall in the tournament in Pennsylvania Classic Tournament.
The Nittany Lions next finisher was
Brock DeJesus who finished the tournament with an overall score of 164 (+20) good enough for 76
th as an individual. Rob Pasuarella followed closely behind, shooting a 167 (+23) resulting in an 82
nd place finish.
Brady Snyder and
Ty Ebeling were Berks' final two finishers, shooting a 176 (+32) and a 184 (+40) respectively.
WHO'S NEXT
The Blue & White will be back on the course when they take part in the Spring Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley College at the Lebanon County Club on Monday, March 30.
