READING, Pa. — Penn St.-Berks secured a 3-1 victory over Pratt Institute on Saturday, September 2025 at Hintz Athletic Fields, marking their first win of the season with a decisive two-goal second half.

The first half began with a promising attack from the Nittany Lions, as Emir Hamzic struck the woodwork in the third minute, setting the tone early. Berks took the lead in the 9th minute when Callan Stuck found the back of the net, making it 1-0. Despite facing continuous pressure from Pratt, goalkeeper Josh Martin made crucial saves in the 27th and 32nd minutes to maintain the lead, as the home team carried a 1-0 advantage into halftime.

The second half began with Berks maintaining their momentum, as Gavin Dai found the back of the net in the 60th minute, assisted by Hamzic, to extend their lead. Callan Stuck further solidified their advantage with his second goal in the 73rd minute, bringing the score to 3-0.
