Reading, Pa.- The Penn St. Berks Men's Soccer team dropped its season opener, falling to local foe Albright College by a score of 3-0 on Friday, August 29.

Both teams used the opening 30 minutes of the contest as a feeling out period, with neither side sustaining offense. Nathan Fatkin fired the Lions first shot of the season, missing wide right. Albright College struck first, scoring in the 31^st minute. The visiting Lions added a second goal with just over two minutes remaining in opening half to hold a 2-0 lead at the break.

Berks pushed the pace early in the second half, with Fatkin firing a shot on goal. The Nittany Lions continued to get into dangerous positions, but they could not create quality scoring chances. Albright capitalized on a foul in the box, converting the ensuing penalty kick to build a 3-0 lead. Berks could not find an answer, eventually falling in the season opener.

WHO'S NEXT
Berks will hit the road for the first time this fall, traveling to face TCNJ on Sunday, August 31. The opening kick-off is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
