Chambersburg, PA- The Penn State Berks Men's Golf Team placed second at the United East Championship Tournament, posting a two-day team total of 671 on Friday, April 25 and Saturday April 26.
The Lions were led by
Peyton Moyer, who finished overall at the championship. Moyer posted a two-day total of 154 (+8) shooting a 77 on each day of the tournament. For his efforts, Moyer was named United East Rookie of the Year and to the United East First Team All-Conference.
Rob Pasquarella finished tied for 15
th overall at the tournament posting a two-day total of 171 (+25). Pasquarella opened the tournament by carding an 84 and then recorded an 87 on day two. He was later named to the Third Team All-Conference.
Senior
Kolin Grogesky also earned Third Team All-Conference honors, recording an overall total of 175 (+29). Grogesky shot an 83 on day one and then followed that by shooting a 92 on the second day of the tournament.
Brock DeJesus finished tied for 27
th overall, carding a two-day total of 179 (+33). The Lions final finisher was
Samuel Reimert who placed 33
rd overall, with a score of 187 (+41).
The second-place finish was the Lions best finish since they took second overall at the 2018-19 Conference Championship.
