Annville, PA- The Penn St. Berks Baseball Team dropped a non-conference match-up with Lebanon Valley College, falling by a score of 19-3 on Tuesday, April 22.

The Lions (9-25 Overall, 6-8 UE) fell behind early as the Flying Dutchmen (20-16-1 Overall, 12-6 MAC) plated runs in the first and third innings to grab the early lead. Berks tried to climb back into the game in the top of the fourth inning.
Cade Baumgardner and
Landon Eyster drew back-to-back walks to put runners on first and second.
Logan Ewert reached on a throwing error, loading the bases for the Lions.
Isaiah Dull was then hit by a pitch, bringing in the Lions first run of the game.
Jacob Berzonski then worked an eight-pitch walk, bringing in another run and tying the game at two.

Lebanon Valley answered back, scoring three runs in the bottom of the fourth to retake a 5-2 lead. The Flying Dutchmen erupted for 11 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, taking a commanding 16-2 lead.

Berks added on a run in the seventh inning.
Peter DePolo III and Baumgardner drew walks to go along with a single by
Brendan Altman loaded the bases.
Travis Schiller lifted a sacrifice fly to right center field, allowing DePolo to tag up and score. The Lions would not get any closer, falling 19-3.

WHO'S NEXT
The Lions will celebrate Senior Day when they host Keystone College in their regular season finale on Saturday, April 26. The first pitch is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
