Gettysburg, PA- The Penn St. Berks Baseball Team could not keep pace with #21 Gettysburg College, falling twice to the nationally ranked Bullets on Saturday, March 23.

The Lions (4-15 Overall, 2-2 UE) kept the high-powered Gettysburg offense in check in early in game one, limiting the Bullets to only three runs in the first four innings. Gettysburg (19-1 Overall) found their rhythm in the fifth inning, quickly piling up eight runs to take a commanding 11-0 lead. Â Meanwhile, the Lions offense struggled to find their footing, being held to only three total hits. Berks would get on the board in the seventh inning.
Travis Schiller worked a walk and advanced to second on a wild pitch.
Andrew Seibert then lined an RBI single up the middle to score Schiller. Berks could not produce any other runs, falling by a score of 16-1.

Berks tried to reset for game two, but they quickly found themselves trailing as the Gettysburg scored in each of the three innings, building a 12-0 lead. The Lions turned to
Isaiah Dull to come onto the mound in relief and he slowed the Bullets, throwing 2.1 innings, allowing only two runs on one hit.

The Lions offense continued to struggle to string together hits, finally getting on the board in the top of the seventh inning. Schiller led off the inning with a single and
Brendan Altman added one of his own to put a pair of runners on base. Later in the inning,
Jacob Berzonski hit a hard ground ball that allowed Schiller to score. Berks would get no closer, falling 14-1.

The Lions will be back in action when they face local foe Albright College on Wednesday, March 26. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:30 PM.
