Reading, PA- The Penn St. Berks Baseball Team dropped on a road match up with local foe Albright College by a score of 12-1 on Wednesday, March 26.

The Lions (4-16 Overall, 2-2 UE) fell behind early as Albright (9-10 Overall) scored three runs in the first two innings. Berks looked to get their offense going in the top of the third inning. With two outs in the inning,
Landon Reyes singled to third base to put a runner on base.
Andrew Seibert then blasted a double into center field, allowing Reyes to hustle around the bases and score. Albright answered back, scoring twice in the third inning and four times in the bottom of the fourth to build a 9-1 lead.

The Lions were able to place runners on base over the next several innings, but they could not drive in any runs. On the mound, Berks turned to a series of relief pitchers with
Jacob Crisler holding Albright to one run on two hits.
Isaiah Dull also pitched a shut-out inning, allowing one run while striking out two. Albright added three more runs in the seventh inning, eventually earning the 12-1 victory.

Berks was led offensively by
Travis Schiller, who went 3-3 in the game. Reyes recorded a pair of hits, scoring the Lions lone run. Seibert finished the game 1-4 with a double and an RBI.

The Lions return home to face the University of Valley Forge in a non-conference match-up on Friday, March 28. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:30 PM.
