Reading, PA- The Penn St. Berks Athletic Department is excited to announce the hiring of
Barb Bolich as the department's new Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Event Operations.
Bolich joins Berks after serving as the Director of Athletics at Wyoming Seminary Preparatory School for the past two years. Wyoming Seminary is one of the strongest independent school athletic programs in the nation, bolstering 21 sports teams.
Bolich is excited for the opportunity to join the Penn St. Berks Athletic Department.
"Penn St. Berks is a great institution and part of a great educational system," said Bolich. "As a PA native, I am overjoyed to join this campus, and I look forward to making some contributions in this time of great growth and change. I am incredibly thankful to the entire search committee and Athletic Director
Barry Beal for this opportunity."
Prior to arriving at Wyoming Seminary, Bolich spent 15 years as the Associate Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). While at MIT, Bolich managed daily operations for 15 of their 33 Division III sports teams. In addition, she oversaw the Equipment Room, practice and game scheduling, and coordination of all postseason events.
Bolich is driven by the connections she forms with her student-athletes.
"I love working with student-athletes and helping them realize fullest potential," explained Bolich. "It's truly a joy to help them on their journey and instill the values of winning the right win way. Many of those values will translate to skill they can use for the rest of their lives."
