READING, PA — Penn St.-Berks fell to Penn College by a score of 84-42 at the Beaver Athletics & Wellness Center. The Wildcats capitalized on turnovers, scoring 30 points off Berks's 28 turnovers.
Berks began the first quarter with
Hailey Miller scoring an early jumper, setting the stage for a competitive start.
Gabrielle Merritt contributed a three-pointer at 6:45, giving the Blue & White a brief lead at 7-5. However, turnovers became a challenge, as Berks committed seven in the quarter, impacting their offensive rhythm. Despite defensive rebounds limiting second chances, the Nittany Lions struggled to contain the Wildcats' perimeter shooting. The visitors capitalized on these opportunities, highlighted by a 3-pointer in the final seconds, closing the quarter with a 25-12 lead.
Penn State Berks opened the second quarter with an early scoring push, highlighted by
Abigail Pfander's layup assisted by
Jalyn Hann.
Hailey Miller followed with a three-pointer, narrowing the gap. Despite this effort, the team struggled to maintain possession, committing 12 turnovers, which limited their scoring opportunities. The Wildcats capitalized on turnovers, converting them into points through fast breaks, including a layup by Kenni Galbreath that extended their lead. As the quarter progressed, Berks continued to face defensive pressure, which resulted in multiple steals by the Wildcats. The quarter concluded with Berks trailing 47–24, as Penn College outscored them 22–10.
Penn College seized control early in the third quarter with a significant scoring run.
Gianna Roberts of the Blue & White initiated the quarter with a steal, but turnovers hindered further momentum. The Wildcats capitalized with a 3-pointer by Kenni Galbreath at 9:14, extending their lead. Berks found some success inside the paint with
Annie Laubach and
Hailey Miller contributing layups. However, Penn College's efficient shooting and fast breaks widened the gap. Breana Valentine and Gigi Parlante led a scoring surge that established a commanding position. The quarter concluded with Berks trailing, as they were outscored 24-10 in the frame, leaving the score at 71-32 in favor of Penn College.

Annie Laubach, cutting into the Wildcats' lead. A defensive rebound by
Hailey Miller led to her converting a three-pointer, further narrowing the gap with assistance from
Kiara Altine. Despite these efforts, the Wildcats maintained pressure, resulting in multiple turnovers by the Nittany Lions. Breana Valentine and Gigi Parlante contributed to Penn College's scoring, extending their margin.
Liz Ruiz managed to add to the home team's tally with a layup in the closing minutes, assisted by Altine. The quarter concluded with the Wildcats leading 84-42, holding off Berks' attempts to close the deficit.
Hailey Miller led with 16 points, converting 6 of 12 field goals and adding three assists.
Gabrielle Merritt contributed seven points and recorded four rebounds.
Annie Laubach scored six points and collected three rebounds.
Paige Sonzogni added four points and secured three rebounds.
