READING, Pa. – The Penn State Berks women's soccer team scored late to tie Albright at Shirk Stadium on Saturday night, finishing with a 2-2 draw. Mary King scored both goals on penalty kicks, including the tying goal in the 85th minute.
Berks outshot Albright, 21-6, but found itself down by a goal after Albright took a 2-1 lead in the 83rd minute on a penalty kick goal of its own. King scored her second goal of the night just two minutes later on her second penalty kick of the night and third of the season.
Berks put 14 shots on goal, consistently testing Albright keeper McKenna Levan. Adriana Lepera led the Lions with five shots. Autumn Levengood had three shots on goal to lead the team in that category.
Sophia Gonzalez made three saves in net for the Nittany Lions.
Berks hosts Scranton on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
