ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Penn State Berks volleyball team fell in straight sets at Lebanon Valley on Tuesday night, 25-11, 25-19, and 25-13.
In the first set, Tarynn Coldren had a kill to give Berks a 4-3 lead. She also had four assists and a dig. Madelyn Caris added a couple of kills later in the set. She led the way with nine kills and hit .318. Caris also had five digs.
In the second set, the Nittany Lions went on a 5-1 run in the middle portion of the set to decrease their deficit to 16-14. Diana Stoltzfus joined Caris with a kill in that run, and Katelyn Williams added an ace to complete that stretch. Stoltzfus had six kills on the night. Stoltfus had a kill and an ace consecutively in the third set.
Libby Swoyer led Berks with 12 assists.
The Nittany Lions return to action at Marywood on Thursday night.
