Baseball topped by Du Bois, 6-1

MYRTLE BEACH, SC - The Penn State Berks baseball team fell to Penn State Du Bois, by a 6-1 margin, at The Ripken Experience on Monday afternoon.

Berks jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning when David Rudisill singled to right field to bring in Kolbie Reeser, who walked to lead off the inning. Du Bois countered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the second and padded its lead with four more runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Rudisill finished the contest 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Colin Amerine and Nick Hardesty each added a hit. Reeser and Nick Bergeman both had a stolen base.

John Mudri allowed four hits and four runs (two earned), while striking out five batters. Ryan Spatz and Grant Jacoby combined for 2.1 innings of scoreless relief.

The Nittany Lions will face off with Eastern Nazarene College on Tuesday, March 5 at 10:30 a.m.
