WBB drops road game to Lancaster Bible

LANCASTER, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team fell to Lancaster Bible College, 77-58, in Wednesday night's United East contest.

The Chargers led 16-13 after the first period and later took a 35-24 lead into the halftime break. The Nittany Lions continued to play hard in the second half, getting outscored just 42-34 in the final 20 minutes of action.

The Nittany Lions had three players record double-doubles on the night. Ashlyn Clark finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal, while Mahala Ruffner followed with 15 points, 10 boards, and one blocked shot. Hailey Miller chipped in 13 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals,a nd one blocked shot. Sam Hagenbush added five points and seven boards, while Liberty Stitzman also pulled down seven rebounds. Kiara Altine finished with two points, three rebounds, and two steals.

Jenna Dombach had a contest-high 28 points, followed by Alaysha Iwais with 17 points and four steals.

The Nittany Lions will host Gallaudet University in an United East contest on Saturday, February 10 at 3 p.m. Prior to the game, Berks will honor Sam Hagenbush and Morgan Kline with Senior Day recognition.
