WBB falls to Gallaudet on Senior Day

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team was topped by Gallaudet University, 83-56, in United East action on Saturday afternoon, Prior to the start of the game, Sam Hagenbush and Morgan Kline were celebrated with Senior Day honors on the court.

Gallaudet led 29-15 after the first quarter and later took a 47-32 lead into the halftime intermission. Out of the break, GU took control of the game by outscoring the Nittany Lions by a 23-6 margin in the third quarter. Berks outscored the Bison by an 18-13 count in the final 10 minutes of action.

Hailey Miller finished with 20 points, five assists, three steals, two rebounds, and two blocked shots to lead the Nittany Lions. Mahala Ruffner notched her fifth double-double of the season after recording 11 points and 15 rebounds, while also registering two blocked shots. Ashlyn Clark finished with 10 points, nine boards, and two steals, Hagenbush chipped in nine points and four rebounds. Liberty Stitzman recorded six points, five assists, and three rebounds.

Cam Lexow led the Bison with 20 points to go along with six rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Cassidy Perry added 16 points and 13 rebounds, Rajena Guettler finished with 14 points and nine rebounds.

The Nittany Lions will wrap up the season with a non-conference contest at Immaculata University on Tuesday, February 13 at 6 p.m.
