WBB falls to Mighty Macs in season finale

IMMACULATA, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team wrapped up the 2023-24 season with a 70-41 setback to Immaculata University in non-conference action on Wednesday night.

The Mighty Macs took a 42-9 lead into the halftime intermission. Out of the break, Berks was able to outscore Immaculata by a 32-28 margin.

Hailey Miller recorded her five double-double of the season after finishing with a team-high 10 points and 14 rebounds, to go along with four assists, two steals, and a blocked shot. Mahala Ruffner added nine points and 10 boards, while Ashlyn Clark chipped in eight points and seven rebounds. Sam Hagenbush and Kylie Dunn both had six points, while Liberty Stitzman added two points, two rebounds, and two steals.

Victoria Foster led the Mighty Macs with 20 points, followed by Meg Robbins with 12 points. Mary Desimone recorded eight points and dished out nine assists.

The Nittany Lions will bid farewell to seniors Sam Hagenbush and Morgan Kline. With the core group of returners and the incoming class of newcomers and transfers, the Nittany Lions will look to make it back to the United East Postseason Tournament for the first time since the 2019-20 season.
