READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team dropped a hard fought battle with Cedar Crest College by a score of 58-50 in non-conference action on Monday night.

The Nittany Lions trailed 14-11 after the first quarter and went into the break trailing 25-22. The Falcons added six points to their lead in the third to take a 43-34 advantage going into the final 10 minutes of action. The Nittany Lions whittled away the deficit and got to within in five points several times in the fourth, but that is as close as the visitors would allow them to get.

Hailey Miller finished with a career-high 28 points on 11-of-22 shooting from the floor, including three 3-pointers made. The junior guard also recorded nine rebounds and two steals in 37 minutes of action. Mahala Ruffner brought down a season-high 20 boards to go along with four points and four blocked shots in 40 minutes of play. Ashlyn Clark chipped in 14 points, six rebounds, and four assists, while Sam Hagenbush recorded four points and eight rebounds. Liberty Stitzman finished the contest with seven boards.

Jordan McGhee led the Falcons with 14 points, followed by Megan Perrine and Caylie Long with 10 points each. Rachel Bilger pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds, followed by Long with nine. Nicole Sachman dished out a contest-high six assists.

The Nittany Lions will host St. Mary's College in an United East contest on Wednesday, January 10 at 7 p.m.
