WBB falls to Harrisburg

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team was topped by Penn State Harrisburg, 100-68, in an United East contest on Saturday afternoon.

Berks led 22-18 after the first quarter, but Harrisburg was able to take a 49-42 lead into the halftime intermission. Out of the break, the visitors extender its lead to 77-52 going into the final period of play. In the fourth, Harrisburg outscored Berks by a 23-16 margin to seal the victory.

Hailey Miller poured in a career-high 30 points after shooting 10-of-18 from the field and going 9-for-11 at the foul line. The sophomore guard also had six rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one blocked shot. Ashlyn Clark and Mahala Ruffner both recorded their third double-double of the season. Clark had 14 points and 10 boards, while Ruffner added 10 points and 11 rebounds. Regan Throp chipped in six points, Liberty Stitzman and Sam Hagenbush both had four.

Harrisburg was led by Bailey Oehmig with 29 points and five rebounds. Ali Lister added 16 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, five steals, and four blocked shots, Mikayla Wright finished with 16 points and eight boards.

The Nittany Lions will host Penn College in an United East match on Tuesday, January 30 at 7 p.m.
