MBB falls on the road to Gallaudet

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team suffered a 77-67 setback to Gallaudet University in United East action on Tuesday night.

The Nittany Lions led 43-41 at halftime, but the Bison used a 15-3 run to start the second half to jump out to a double digit lead. Berks battled back to take a one point lead (63-62) with 5:11 remaining, but GU closed out the game on 15-4 run to secure the win.

Marquis Ferreira had a team-high 21 points to go along with three assists, two steals, and two rebounds. Andre Ballard chipped in 17 points, five boards, three steals, and two blocked shots, while Luke Collins added 14 points and five assists. Jaedon Mast finished with 10 points, four rebounds, and four assists.

Blessed Mbogo led the Bison with 25 points, 11 boards, and seven assists, while Brandon Chung chipped in 19 points and 12 rebounds. Rory Lewis added 15 points and five rebounds.

Berks will host Penn State Schuylkill in a non-conference contest on Friday, January 19 at 6 p.m.
