Women's soccer shuts out Gallaudet

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's soccer team earned his third shutout of the season after defeating Gallaudet University, 13-0, in United East action on Saturday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions improve to 3-5-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the United East, while the Bison drop to 3-5 on the year and 0-2 in the conference.

Berks had 12 different players record a goal and/or an assist, led by Diana Pon with a three goals and an assist. Maya Dolan chipped in two goals and an assist, while Faith Forry recorded a pair of goals. Ashley Olivares added a goal and two assists, Adriana Lepera notched a goal and handed out one assist. Sara Hathaway, Morgan Kline, Ashley Jocham, and Dannah Bittner all registered one goal. Erna Hamzic had a game-high three assists, while Carly Fox, Madi Craley, and Meghan Thacker each had one.

Sophia Gonzalez earned the win after keeping the Bison off the board in the first half, while Hannah LaBadie and Maura Chawner split time in a clean second half.Lilian Nelson finished with 10 saves in net for GU.

The Nittany Lions will host Farmingdale State College in non-conference action on Sunday, October 1 at 2 p.m.
