Men's soccer drops home opener to Ursinus

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks men's soccer team dropped a 9-0 decision to Ursinus College in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon.

The Bears scored at the 5:17 mark of the opening half to jump out to an early 1-0 lead. The visitors tacked on a score in the 34th and 41st minutes to take a 3-0 lead into the break. Ursinus added two goals early in the second half to put the contest out of reach.

Owen Love made a nice attack and put a shot on target, but the keeper was able to make the stop early in the first half. Pete Papadiamantis also had a shot on goal, but the Ursinus keeper was able to make the save.

The Nittany Lions will host Eastern University in non-conference play on Wednesday, September 6 at 4:30 p.m.
