Volleyball falls to Haverford, Eastern in tri-match

ST. DAVIDS, PA – The Penn State Berks women's volleyball team dropped both games of its tri-match on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions fell by a score of 3-0 to Haverford College, followed by a setback of the same score against host Eastern University.

In the opener against Haverford, Berks was topped by scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-17.

Jordan Thompson had a team-high eight kills, while Diana Stoltzfus added seven and Gab Murphy chipped in five. Makenzie Shoop recorded a team-best 11 digs, while Stoltzfus had nine. Libby Swoyer handed out 24 assists.

Aubrey Hunt had a team-high four kills, followed by three from Stoltzfus against the Eagles. Katelyn Williams had a team-best nine digs, while Hunt had seven and Shoop recorded six. Riley Kovach dished out 10 assists to go along with three digs.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Gwynedd Mercy University for a non-conference contest on Wednesday, September 27 at 7 p.m.
