Volleyball falls on the road to E-Town

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA - The Penn State Berks women's volleyball team suffered a 3-1 setback on the road to Elizabethtown College in a non-conference tilt on Tuesday night at Thompson Gymnasium.

The Blue Jays (4-5) took the first game by a score of 25-15, followed by a narrow 25-23 win in the second. The Nittany Lions kept the match alive with a 25-22 win in game three, but E-Town clinched the match with a 25-19 edge in the fourth.

Diana Stoltzfus finished with a team-high 12 kills to along with 13 digs, two service aces, and two assists. Katelyn Williams and Makenzie Shoop each had 10 kills, followed by Aubrey Hunt with nine. Hunt also recorded a team-best 21 digs, while Riley Kovach notched 19. Libby Swoyer, who dished out 36 assists, matched Williams with 11 digs. Shoop finished with three block assists, while Jordan Thompson and Stoltzfus both assisted on two blocks.

The Nittany Lions return home with a match against Wilkes University on Wednesday, September 20 at 6 p.m.
