Women's soccer topped by Rowan

GLASSBORO, N.J. - The Penn State Berks women's soccer team dropped a 6-0 decision on the road to Rowan University in non-conference action Friday night.

The Nittany Lions fall to 2-3 on the season, while the Profs remain unbeaten on the year and improve to 5-0-1.

Rowan jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead after scoring a pair of goals at the 9:38 and 11:21 mark of the opening half. They tacked on another score in the 25th minute to build a commanding 3-0 advantage. The Profs added three more scores over the first five minutes of the second half and cruised the rest of the way for the win.

Sophia Gonzalez finished with six saves and Hannah LaBadie recorded two stops, Calista Burke made two saves for Rowan.

The Nittany Lions will face No. 1 ranked Messiah University on Wednesday, September 20 at 7 p.m.
