Nittany Lions place 74 student-athletes on United East Scholar-Athlete list

LATHAM, N.Y. - Penn State Berks placed 74 student-athletes on the 2022-23 United East Conference Scholar-Athlete list as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. For the complete list of recipients, click here.

In order to be selected, a student-athlete must achieve a combined grade point average of 3.4 or higher for the fall and spring semesters and must have been in good standing on his or her team.

All 12 of the Nittany Lions varsity sports were represented by at least three student-athletes and five sports had eight of more recipients. Women's soccer had the most with 11 members receiving the honor, followed by baseball with 10 recipients. Men's soccer and softball both had nine honorees, while men's cross country had eight. In addition, there were eight seniors that received conference scholar-athlete honors in all four years of competition. They were Alex Blatt, Susan Duncan, Jeyda Duran, Chad Evans, Sara Hathaway, Sam Perrone, Julia Rathsam, and Briana Smith.
