Women's basketball drops home game to SUNY Morrisville

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team fell by a score of 80-72 to SUNY Morrisville in an United East contest on Wednesday evening.

The Mustangs led 24-7 after the first period and took a 43-17 lead into the intermission. Out of the break, Morrisville outscored Berks by a 32-31 margin to secure the win.

Lyla Spencer led the Nittany Lions with 14 points and six steals to go along with six rebounds. Hailey Miller chipped in 11 points, eight boards, and five steals, while Jalyn Hann had 10 points and five rebounds. Kayley Mattis finished with seven points and five rebounds, while Sam Hagenbush and Katie Davis both had three points.

Taylor Colone-Microni led the Mustangs with 15 points, followed by Tayghan Doorley with 13 and Rachel Vieira with 10.

The Nittany Lions will face Wells College in an United East contest on Saturday, February 11 at 1 p.m.
