Men's basketball drops United East battle to Wildcats

WILLIAMSPORT, PA - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team fell on the road to Penn College, 89-74, in an United East contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Nittay Lions (2-7, 1-1 United East) trailed 44-37 at halftime and trailed by just one point (55-54) with 13:48 remaining in regulation. The Wildcats (4-5, 1-1 United East) used a 13-3 run over the next two minutes to take control of the contest.

Andre Ballard recorded his third straight game with 20 or more points as he poured in 22 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the field. The senior forward pulled down a team-high eight rebounds and tied for the team-lead with three assists. Matthew Gingerich added 15 points, four boards, and three assists, while Josh Mingledolph added 11 points, three rebounds, and three assists. Darik Tannis-Harriet and Marquis Ferreira both had eight points and three assists.

Ron Flood Jr. led the Wildcats with 14 points, followed by three teammates with 13 points each. Gavin Barrett dished out 12 assists, while Max Jackowsky and Livingston Cross each recorded eight rebounds.

The Nittany Lions will host Cabrini University on Monday, December 4 at 6 p.m.
