Women's basketball non-conference bout with Eastern

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team dropped an 88-44 decision to Eastern University in non-conference action on Wednesday night.

The Nittany Lions trailed 21-12 at the end of the first quarter, but the Eagles were able to extend their lead to 39-20 at halftime. In the second half, Eastern put the game away by outscoring Berks by a 49-24 margin.

Hailey Miller finished with 21 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and three steals, while Ashlyn Clark added 10 points, five boards, and two steals.. Mahala Ruffner chipped in six points to go with 15 rebounds and two steals., Liberty Stitzman had three points and three boards.

Miranta Liebtag led the Eagles with 20 points and four steals, followed by Taryn Woodson with 18 points and seven rebounds. Wynter Bess chipped in 12 points and Jeriyah Johnson had 10.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Penn College for an United East contest on Saturday, December 2 at 3 p.m.
