Women's basketball topped by Penn College

WILLIAMSPORT, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team fell to Penn College, 67-42, in an United East contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 22-4 lead after the first quarter, but Berks inched closer in the second period to go into the break down 35-20. Penn College outscored the Nittany Lions by a 32-22 margin in the second half to secure the victory.

Ashlyn Clark tallied 15 points, five rebounds, and two steals, while Hailey Miller had 15 points, four boards, and four assists. Sam Hagenbush chipped in four points, while Liberty Stitzman and Kylie Dunn both had three points. Mahala Ruffner pulled down a team-high seven rebounds, Morgan Kline had five rebounds and three assists.

Rachel Teats finished with 21 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and five steals to lead the Wildcats. Kayleigh Miller had 10 points and Emily Pardee finished with eight. Bell Hitesman had a team-high nine boards, Mia Patterson recorded eight.

The Nittany Lions wrap up the fall semester portion of their schedule when they host St. John Fisher University on Tuesday, December 5 at 6 p.m.
